Fees and Funding

Braidwood Preschool receives funding through the NSW Government's Start Strong Program. Eligible children receive fee relief of up to $4,456 per year, which is applied directly to reduce the cost of the first two enrolled days each week.

To receive the reduced fee rates, families must complete a Start Strong Fee Relief Declaration Form. Fee relief cannot be applied until this form has been completed and returned to the preschool.

Daily Fees - Our standard daily fee is $75 per day.

  • Miringali Room - For eligible children attending their first and second enrolled days, NSW Fee Relief funding reduces the daily cost as broken down below:

    • Day 1 & Day 2: $15.00 per day (includes approximately $60 fee relief per day)

    • Day 3, Day 4 & Day 5: $75.00 per day

  • Goombawa Room - For eligible children attending their first and second enrolled days, NSW Fee Relief funding reduces the daily cost as broken down below:

    • Day 1 & Day 2: $22.50 per day (includes approximately $52.50 fee relief per day)

    • Day 3, Day 4 & Day 5: $75.00 per day

The reduced fees for the first two days are possible because Start Strong funding is applied directly to these enrolment days. Full fees apply for any additional enrolled days.

Families are responsible for any remaining fees, levies, and charges after fee relief has been applied.

We encourage families to set up direct debit payments. To arrange this, please contact our Clerk, Fay, on 4842 2128 (Monday–Wednesday).

Fees are payable for all enrolled days, including absences. Where vacancies exist, make-up days may be available but cannot be guaranteed.

As Start Strong funding does not cover all operating costs, parent fees and community fundraising remain essential to supporting our not-for-profit preschool and maintaining a high-quality educational program for all children.

Additional Fees

  • Association Membership: $3.00 Joining fee + $5.00 Annual fee

  • Enrolment Fee: $80.00

  • Re-enrolment Fee: $50.00

  • General Levy: $50.00 per child (payable in full or in instalments across four terms)
