Bilima

Today on Yuin County, we had a bilima come to visit.

We also found some snails at Preschool, so the children watched the snails moving while they waited for the tortoise to come out of its shell. The snails even slid onto the tortoise’s shell!!

When the tortoise came out of its shell, there was lots of observation and discussion:

I can see it’s eyes. It blinked.
Why does it have a long neck?
I can see its claws.
Boy tortoises have claws.
Snails have 4 eyes.
Snails are slimy.

The children also drew pictures of the snail and the bilima, recording their observations.
