From our garden to our plate

Our spinach has been growing well in the veggie garden! The children helped to collect the spinach from the garden, then to cut it up. We then cut up feta cheese & mixed in some eggs. The next important job was to brush on the melted butter, as Kathy rolled up the filo pastry to make spinach triangles.

Most of the children enjoyed eating their spinach triangle at afternoon tea.

Some comments from the children were:

‘I liked it’

‘I thought it would be yucky, but it was yummy’

‘Mum, I ate spinach!’
