Maria, buru and boori

It was a beautiful day for Uncle Noel and Aunty Trish to visit us. We sat in our Yarning circle while Uncle Noel read us the book Where is Stripey?

We talked about maria (emu) and Uncle Noel told us how the father maria sits on the eggs.

Aunty Trish sang her new song Buru and boori (kangaroo and joey) and the children moved like kangaroos, bouncing and moving their ears to listen.
