Yarning Circle

We have added a yarning circle in our playground, thanks to a community grant from Dargues Goldmine.

A yarning circle is an important part of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, for sitting together to talk and listen and share ideas and stories.

The next part of this project will be to plant native and bush tucker plants. Uncle Noel and Aunty Trish Nura Gunyu are advising us on suitable plants. We also added our Rainbow Serpent artwork which the children made with Uncle Noel. We are proud to be on Yuin country.
