Djanagubadj

We were delighted to see a special, spiky visitor to Preschool!

We had an echidna walk through our playground. We were able to quietly watch it, from a safe distance.

Uncle Noel told us that the Dhurga word for echidna is djanagubadj (jarnagabudch)! Uncle Noel also told us that the male echidnas walking about is one of the signs of a change of seasons.
