We are very proud to have our acknowledgement plaque from KINYA LERRK, and our tiles made from drawings done with Uncle Noel Nura Gunyu, showing the dhurga animals names, now displayed at our entrance. Thank you to Pete and family for getting the tiles and plaque on the wall.
This is another part of our journey of embedding aboriginal practice and understanding, in our Preschool program.
Another exciting part, will be when we plant native plants into our Yarning Circle Gathering garden, this weekend. This project is funded by a Vinnies Bushfire Recovery grant. Uncle Noel and Aunty Trish have suggested suitable bush tucker plants, and are coming to advise us on the planting and to tell us about the plants.
We will show you more photos of that project, next week.
